Because knowledge is the one thing that gains value the more it is used, the entire textbook is available as a free PDF and ePub file. The PDF is about 57 MB and the ePub is about 25 MB, so if you connection is slow, find a more interesting website to surf while they download. Also, the book is produced without any corporate or pharmaceutical funding. The means that we don't have a lot of resources for generating versions with a lot of functionality--these files are basic and non-flowing. If you have skills along these lines and want to help improve the offerings, let us know.

Reviews of the first edition:
"I was delighted to open your “Diabetic Retinopathy for the Comprehensive Ophthalmologist,” to find a well-written, common-sense, informative book that should have immense value not only in the developed but particularly in the developing world. I plan to make this known and I am greatly appreciative of your making it available at www.drcobook.com."
Bruce E. Spivey, M.D., M.S., M.Ed. President, International Council of Ophthalmology
"I honestly feel that your book will help me to improve my management of diabetic patients. It has all the things you always ask yourself and never find it in papers or textbooks!"
